During Finland’s presidency of the Council of the European Union, the facilities were redecorated following the theme of functionality and sustainable development. The aim was to create comfortable spaces for meeting people in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoy micro breaks and short bouts of work.
Sustainable development was ensured by borrowing furniture from partners as far as possible. The materials and products commissioned for the interior were repurposed after the installations were dismantled.
